After two years as a post-doc at INRIA, BESTie Lora Oehlberg accepts a faculty position in Computer Science at the University of Calgary.
Dr. Oehlberg’s research in Human-Computer Interaction focuses on interactive tools and technologies that support creativity, innovation, and multi-disciplinary collaboration in domains such as interaction design, maker communities, sustainable product design and health care. She also explores interaction design theory and methodology— theoretical frameworks and techniques that allow computer scientists and interaction designers to understand and empathize with end-users, express and embody design ideas, and engage with collaborators beyond computing disciplines.
