What changes are needed to sustain the future success of Nortel?
One way to look at the business process at Northern Telecom today is that we are formed out of many functio ns or silos. Where each silo or business function cares about itself, but doesn't really care about the bu siness as a whole. That has to change if we are going to be successful tomorrow.
	How do expect the changes towards increased teamwork to affecting your business?
Today it is very easy for me to get data and to know who is accountable for certain things because it is us ually the line manager or his department manager. In the new environment where the people are involved, it will be the whole team. So it will be more difficult for me to get the information that I need. I am als o going to have to be more patient. If things are not going right, just right, I have to be prepared to le t that group go through the learning and the chaotic experience that they are going to go through the first one or two times as we make that transition.
