In today's business world, we are faced with a more competitive market place than that of the previous years. With the push for reduced design and development times and increased quality control, more and more companies are focusing on taking advantage of such strategies like crossfunctional teams,design for manufacturability in their product and process development to produce higher quality products, deliver the products in a shorter period of time and also increase productivity. However, to achieve these common goals for the plant or corporation, diverse functional branches within the corporation must work together on a daily basis to obtain economics success. Thus, people, product and strategy are the three key concerns in today's business world.

"People, Product, Strategy" presents several industry concepts which must be implemented by the people to improve the industrial processes used to make marketable products in today's global economy.These concepts and principles include the use of crossfunctional teams, concurrent engineering, design for manufacture, design for enviroment etc. All of these principles are presented because of their potential to enhance the new product development process in regards to the time to market and quality of the products produced. The functional roles of the people involved in the development process are also covered in this case study. These roles are incorporated in the positions of managers, accountants, financial controllers, technicians, engineers, designers, manufacturing personnel, and human resource personnel.
