Every Spring MESA (Mathematics * Engineering * Science * Achievement) hosts a series of K-12 student competitions in Math, Science and Engineering. The Interactive MESA project is an experiment designed to engage more of the UC Berkeley MESA community in this important K-12 outreach activity. This World Wide Web site for the MESA competitions contains the MESA competition rules, a virtual classroom with related mathematical, scientific and engineering principles behind the competitions, a virtual design studio, and examples of past designs. We also provide on-line learning resources in career guidance, math, science and engineering.

is the threaded discussion tool designed to allow Berkeley faculty, students and alumni to mentor and advise MESA students from their offices, labs or homes.

The launch date for the Interactive MESA Web pages will be April 4, 1998. The main focus for this launch will be to support the "Egg Drop" Mesa competition. If you dare, this is the current Interactive MESA "site under construction".
